This Privacy Policy describes how HairTry AI (“HairTry,” “we,” or “us”) handles information when you use the HairTry app or contact our support team. The HairTry website does not ask you to upload a photo or create an account.
1. Information we handle
- Photos and preview requests: the photo you choose to submit, the hairstyle or color you select, and any instructions you provide so we can create and return a preview.
- App and request details: a pseudonymous installation identifier, app version and platform, request status, timestamps, and information needed to manage credits and protect the Service.
- Usage analytics: if analytics are enabled in the app, event information such as screens viewed and feature interactions. Analytics events do not include your source or generated photos, face measurements, or free-form stylist prompts. You can turn analytics off in the app settings.
- Support messages: your email address and any information you include when you write to support.
- Purchase verification: if you buy credits through Apple, we receive transaction and verification details needed to confirm the purchase, not your payment card number.
2. How we use information
We use this information to provide hairstyle recommendations and previews, return results to your app, manage credit purchases, keep the Service secure and reliable, respond to support requests, and understand app usage when analytics are enabled.
3. Photos and AI processing
When you request a preview or photo-based recommendation, your photo and related request information are sent to our backend and AI service provider, OpenAI, for processing. We use Convex for app backend and temporary file storage. We do not send photos, generated images, face measurements, or free-form hairstyle prompts in our Amplitude analytics events.
AI previews are creative suggestions. They are not used to make decisions about you in areas such as employment, insurance, or access to services.
4. Storage and retention
Source photos are removed from our processing storage after a successful generation. Temporary preview files are set to expire after 30 minutes by default, including when a request does not complete. Limited request, installation, and purchase records may be kept longer when needed to operate the Service, prevent abuse, resolve support issues, or meet legal obligations.
If you save or export a result, it may remain in the app or on your device until you delete it. You can remove locally saved photos using the app and your device’s photo controls.
5. Service providers
We share information with providers that help us run the Service, including OpenAI for AI processing, Convex for backend and file storage, Amplitude for app analytics when enabled, and Apple for App Store purchase processing. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices and as needed to provide their services to us.
6. Security and international processing
We use technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Our service providers may process information in countries other than yours; where applicable law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
You can turn app analytics off in the app settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to object to certain uses. Email support@gocodingnow.com to ask a question or make a request. We may need enough information to verify and locate the relevant app data.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy as the Service or applicable requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
